Trying to learn something new

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 6, 2007, 7:40 PM

Css...overwhelming

MY mother bought me Dreamweaver 8.  Has all the bells and whistles needed to create web pages, and code.  Thank god she bought me a book to go with it.  But, I have to say that it's quite intimidating.

I feel like I did when I opened Photoshop for the first time.  But at least with Photoshow you could screw around with this and that, and see instant results.  With Dreamweaver, working on what is suposed to be css...I'm totally lost.  This will be the first time ever that I've actually had to read a book in order to figure it out.  EVER!!!

IT seems daunting at the moment.  Hopfully in a few short months, I'll know what I'm doing.

Anyway, this is a generated css from Icyworlds.net  Check it out...it's very interesting.  So this will have to do till I figure this all out.

What the heck do you do with a 'footer' anyway???

I want to learn CSS too. I need to get a book. I so admire you for just diving in to all this stuff.

It must be the Aries in me. I usually Dive before I check the waters. On some levels, it's a good thing. I can get things figured out before I realize it's too hard...therefore never being able to say I can't. HAHA!!!!

Getting there.. Only thing is the writing gets more and more difficult to read against the background, which although really nice in itself, needs a darker font IMO, just so it's possible to read it all.

You're obviously a real persevering type of person and I admire that! :)
