Changes in life.
Hi All,
I finally had a moment to stop by and say Howdy!! Anyone miss me??

This time of year is so busy for me. I'm a mom of 4 kids. All 4 are in school...Oldest just completed his play, so I might be able to take a bit of a breather. All the kids have different activities going on, as well as very active social lives. My youngest started Speech today. I'm hoping that he will pick up on it quickly. I hope!!! My Daughter wants to play the violin. Not so sure I want to spend the money on that. I'm thinking I might be better off finding one on eBay instead of spending $65 to rent one for 4 months.
DH is looking for a different job! The company he drives for currently isn't an ideal co. He's been there a year, and can now take his experience to another company and get a sign on bonus, and all the 'extras'. The owner of the current co has repeatedly not followed through on any of the so called promises...you know, like profit sharing, health insurance, and a raise. My husband must be the lowest paid truck driver in America! Not only that, but ever time he get's into that dilapidation they call a truck, I worry if he's gonna come home. So, the time has come that he will need a better job.
I have a job. It's in the glamorous field of Deli Service! If you want to break into this field of work, take a number...lines are long, and the hair nets are fashionable. NOT! I would like nothing more then to say this will be the last job I ever have...but on the flip side, I'm afraid this will actually be the only job I'll ever have. So with my 34th birthday behind me, I've set a goal. This WILL be the LAST job I have as an Employee. As of Friday, I will be, even if only in my own mind, a business owner. I will be following a dear friends instructions on a business that (hopefully) allow me to replace that lucrative Deli Clerk income, all while staying home, where I can be a mom for all 24 hours of my day. If this is something that I can do right out of my home, and surpass my measly deli pay, then I'm gung-ho!
Hope you enjoyed my ramblings. I have to go get ready for my lime light behind the deli window!
Oh...one other piece of news. I had my 2nd paying customer for services rendered in graphic design! 3 hours of 'playing around' brought in $85!! It was fun, and I'd have done it for free, except that she insisted on paying for my time, and skills. And what sets this apart from my first paying customer is that the design is actually gone to print! People all over the community will see my design! Whoo-hoo!
